3月11日 WoW LunchSorry to have offended your sensibilities Mr. Mulcare. :-) After my manager walked up in the hallway just in time to hear, "And my corpse was just lying there in the graveyard not moving." I thought it was time to move the World of Warcraft conversation to the cafeteria. So I invited my fellow devotees out to lunch. I haven't really played many computer games in the past decade, but WoW has pulled me in. I've really enjoy talking to my fellow Alliance pals--I've learned alot of great tips from them. And the internal WoW alias has been helpful--when I can understand the acronyms. But man, Mike made me feel like a geek, and that is really hard to do at Microsoft. He even posted this link to a flowchart on the role that playing D&D has had on your dating life. If you must know, we were really doing research on the role of learning and community within WoW. I'm figuring out the tipping point between, "I'll just do a search on the Internet" vs. "I'll go out and buy a book on the subject." I'm using my brother and his level 37 Paladin as the guinea pig. So far I've learned my brother will buy a book on just about anything. And while I did attend a Xena fan show once, I did draw the line on dating guys that dressed up for Renaissance Faires. |
